Processing Properties of 4047 xem bong da truc tiep

Machining

It is recommended to use carbide cutting tools, preferably those with chip breakers, to avoid long chip entanglement and improve production efficiency. In the annealed state (O temper), the elongation can reach 10%–20%, resulting in smoother cutting. In the cold-worked state (H temper), the hardness increases to 50–80 HB Brinell, requiring more conservative machining parameters.

Low spindle speeds (≤800 rpm) and small feed rates (≤0.05 mm/rev) are recommended to reduce the risk of brittle fracture. The depth of cut should be controlled within 0.5 mm.

Welding and Brazing

4047 is more commonly used as a welding wire/filler material, while composite brazing layers often choose 4043 or 4343 series alloys.

The use of 100% Ar or Ar/He (75/25) mixed gas is suitable and can further enhance the molten pool protection, reducing oxidation and porosity. The silicon content (11%–13%) significantly reduces hot cracking sensitivity. The welding groove should maintain an appropriate gap (1–3 mm) to fully utilize its high fluidity.



Heat Treatment

4047 is not suitable for solution treatment and aging; its strength mainly depends on the alloy composition and work hardening. The O temper (annealed) exhibits the best plasticity. Cold-worked tempers such as H14/H16 can increase the tensile strength to approximately 180 - 200 MPa and the yield strength to approximately 100 - 120 MPa. If higher strength is required, light cold working can be performed after forming or extrusion, but plasticity and processing difficulty must be considered.
